The Big Day

Junior Tournament – KO 930am
Active Stirling, Sport Central and the SRU
are partnering the Ondeo City of Stirling 7s and are organising a junior
tournament that will see S2 teams from around the central region go head to
head. The competition will be used as a selection platform for the
regional performance manager to select a team that will compete in a junior
district 7s tournament that will be held at Murrayfield on the weekend of the
IRB Edinburgh 7s. To see some of tomorrows stars come along a bit
early! The final will be played as a curtain raiser to the first tie of
the main tournament on the 1st pitch.
Main Tournament – KO 12noon
The main tournament will be played over 2 pitches
and will follow a knock-out structure. This years' tournament will split into
two competitions, with the losers of the first round of games competing in the
plate competition. The winners of the first round games will compete in the
main tournament to be crowned the Ondeo City of Stirling Champions.

Entertainments
Want more than just a sevens tournament? The
'Ondeo City of Stirling Sevens' goes beyond the traditional sevens tournament
providing a wide range of activities to suit all the family! Entertainment on
the day will include live music, face painting, inflatable jungle run, a
climbing wall supervised and provided by Active Stirling’s Outdoor team,
mini quad biking, laser shooting, beat the goalie and much more! Watch out for the match balls
being delivered from the sky, the Calcutta Cup might get a showing and you
might get the chance to meet our new mascot…keep an eye on the news as
he’s soon to be named!
Food & Drink
Refreshments will be available throughout the
afternoon. The club bars will be operating as normal as well as a
licensed outdoor bar and a separate soft drinks bar. The barbee will also
be going strong!
After Party KO 8pm
Oh no…we’re not finished at that!
By the time the presentations finish at about 7pm it won’t be long before
the action starts again with the post tournament party. There’s a
disco that will run from 8 til late and any one who comes in fancy dress gets
free entry. In fact everyone gets in for free but we will be asking for
an option donation on the door, half will go to charity and half to help cover
the cost of the DJ.
